<image:title>Aimee - Aimee Poirier Lic. Ac</image:title>
<image:caption>Aimee W. Poirier is an Acupuncturist, Certified Radical Remissions Workshop Facilitator, International Speaker and Writer. In Metro Boston, Aimee has maintained a private practice in Acupuncture since 2004. Aimee obtained a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, she has a Masters degree in Chinese and Japanese acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, the country's first and oldest acupuncture school. She is certified in Tong Ren Therapy from the Oriental Cultural Institute and has worked closely with her mentor Boston based acupuncturist Tom Tam since September 2001. Aimee has been developing a specialty in alternative Cancer Care and Women’s Health since 2001. Aimee continues to study Acupuncture, Science, Tui Na, Tai Chi, Chi Gong healing modalities and French. She regularly offers distance healing sessions to patients around the world. This is a no touch mind/body healing modality that can address health concerns and diagnosis of any type. She uses anatomy & physiology and science to lay the blue print for a system that addresses the patient’s healing needs. Since June 2007 Aimee has offered Tui Na training courses to her patients, family members of patients and professionals to empower them to use this hands on technique of healing. These are weekend courses focusing on the practical application the Tam Healing System through the use of Tui Na massage. Aimee currently works at the Collective Healing Center in Stoneham, MA. Besides practicing as an acupuncturist and energy healer, Aimee is a founding board member of OCI Healing Research foundation, Inc. a Non-profit organization for the education, research and promotion of Tong Ren Healing by the Oriental Cultural Institute. Privately editing the writings of her mentor and well-known acupuncturist Tom Tam is another exercise that keeps her abreast on the most current clinic based research and modern information in this field. She is also inspired to continue her education by researching and writing articles on various diseases as she approaches them in her practice. Her experiences with patients in the field of complementary oncological medicine led her to the Radical Remission Project (RRP), and the work of Dr. Kelly Turner. To continue important conversations regarding wellness and lifestyle, she became a RRP workshop facilitator in the autumn of 2019. She enjoys giving this workshop as it engages participants in Applying the 9 Healing Factors into Your Own Life. This workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to prevent or heal cancer and other major illness. Aimee lived in Italy where she developed a fluency in Italian and from her studies has a proficiency in French. She has always had an interest in languages, culture and medicine. She is married to Noel Poirier, an acupuncturist, engineer, scientist and father. They have two children and work together at the Collective Healing Center. She enjoys continuing to connect with her patients, and her professional focus: healing and teaching others about healing worldwide.</image:caption>

<image:title>Noel - Noel Poirier Lic. Ac</image:title>
<image:caption>Noel A. Poirier is a board certified licensed acupuncturist. Noel is a graduate of The New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) earning a Masters degree in Acupuncture with a concentration in Chinese Acupuncture. NESA is the oldest acupuncture graduate school in the United States. The Masters in Acupuncture Program is a rigorous three-year clinical training program that includes the study of both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine fundamentals. Noel gained a wide variety of experience through his clinical rotations in Pediatrics, Geriatrics, and Orthopedic Medicine. In his clinical work with the Integrative Medicine Department at Boston Medical Center, Noel has had the unique opportunity to work with pediatric inpatients in age range from newborn through adolescence. His work at Boston Medical Center has given him experience treating a wide variety of childhood diseases including; cardiovascular problems, sickle cell crisis, digestive disorders, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and a variety of respiratory illnesses including asthma. Noel thoroughly enjoys working with children and watching the amazing transformation, and development that occurs during the course of their treatment. Noel has treated patients with acupuncture in a Community Based Health Clinic in Lynn MA. This geriatric clinic is focused on underserved populations of the North Shore. At the clinic Noel treated patients who would not normally get the opportunity to utilize acupuncture in their healthcare. This patient population is comprised of patients with chronic ailments including; stroke, memory loss, balance, diminished vision, neuropathy, pain, and depression. The long-term nature of the clinic allowed Noel to track the progress of his patients over the course of several months. Noel has trained in Orthopedic Acupuncture and Kinesiology Taping. These techniques promote recovery and healing after injury. Acupuncture and bodywork can also be used to prevent injury from occurring so athletes can compete at their highest performance level. Noel has had experience in treating a variety of muscular skeletal issues and sports injuries using both bodywork and acupuncture. A unique aspect of the NESA program that Noel has taken advantage of is electing to incorporate Bodywork into his training. Additionally, Noel has studied and trained with Tom Tam in the Tam Healing System. In 2010 he became a certified Tong Ren Practitioner. Through his work at the Collective Healing Center Noel has gained valuable experience and training in this unique approach to treatment. Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, Noel worked as a Mechanical Engineer for several years in the field of Building Consulting. Noel obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY. Noel now applies his knowledge of engineering to the human body.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tong Ren - WHAT IS TONG REN?</image:title>
<image:caption>Developed by Tom Tam, as an integral part of the Tom Tam Healing System, Tong Ren is a form of mind-body energy healing therapy for restoring health and vitality. Tong Ren is based on a belief that disease is related to interruptions, or blockages, in the body's natural flow of chi, neural bioelectricity, blood, or hormones. Tong Ren seeks to remove these blockages, restoring the body's natural ability to heal itself, even when illnesses are chronic, debilitating, or otherwise untreatable. Tong Ren combines western knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the ancient principle of "chi," or life force energy, to create what many consider a powerful new healing modality. Drawing on the Jungian theory of the "collective unconscious," Tong Ren is believed to access energy from this universal source and direct it to the patient. Because no physical contact is involved or necessary, Tong Ren is often practiced as distance healing. In a typical therapy session, the Tong Ren practitioner uses a small human anatomical model as an energetic representation of the patient, tapping on targeted points on the model with a lightweight magnetic hammer. The practitioner directs chi to blockage points corresponding to the patient's condition, breaking down resistance at these points. As blood flow, neural transmission, and hormone reception are restored, the body is then able to heal. Distance Healing Sessions Distance Healing Sessions are an opportunity to address any healing challenges & diagnosis of all stages. This is a no touch approach to offer the patient a powerful mind/body healing experience. We take into account all of your major health concerns and then systematically address these issues. Each time we are using anatomy & physiology and science as the blue print for our work. It is a modern approach to harness the power of our collective unconscious mind for the purpose of generating a healing outcome. These sessions can be done by phone. <image:title>Reflexology - Laina</image:title>
<image:caption>Reflexology Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands or ears. Reflexologists is based on the principle that these reflex points correspond to specific body organs and systems, and that pressure on these points creates real benefits for the person's health. For example, reflexology holds that a specific spot in the arch of the foot corresponds to the bladder. A Reflexologist may use thumbs or fingers to apply appropriate pressure to this area to improve bladder functioning. Reflexologists use foot maps to guide their work. The left foot corresponds to the organs found on the left side of the body and the right foot to the organs on the right side. Reflexology is a stand alone treatment preformed by a certified reflexologist.</image:caption>

<image:title>Tong Ren (Copy) - WHAT IS TONG REN?</image:title>
<image:title>Distance Acupuncture - Distance Acupuncture Sessions:</image:title>
<image:caption>These are safe, and effective treatments available to those who live anywhere. Distance Acupuncture is a modality allowing us to treat patients who are not physically in our presence by phone or by video telehealth.. This approach utilizes multiple modalities, including acupuncture, traditional chinese medical theory, Tong Ren therapy, medical qi gong and intuitive guidance. We begin with setting an appointment involving a short intake of medical problems, and thus creating healing goals. In that first appointment we will begin treatment. We invite you to set aside 30 mins with additional time ( roughly 20 +mins) after each appointment for rest and integration of the healing. During the Distance Acupuncture session, we invited you to sit or lay down in a comfortable environment as you would in our clinic. This way you can be aware of any sensations you may feel in your body. The Acupuncturist will begin by scanning the patient’s body and energy systems and then place the invisible needles for healing. Once the healing is complete the patient and acupuncturist will discuss the treatment, course of action recommended, and check in to see how the patient has responded to the treatment. During a Distance Acupuncture Treatment, Acupuncturists will use either an acupuncture doll, a sketch of the patient, or use themselves as a proxy. The Acupuncturist may incorporate the use of additional modalities such as tuning forks, sound or biowave devices, crystals, Tong Ren or Medical Qigong to direct the energy to transform the imbalances and areas of stagnant energy. Acupuncturists may also utilize Moxibustion to help tonify, strengthen, and calm the client. With Distance Acupuncture the focus is on transforming blocks in the energy system. Distance Acupuncture is a mind body modality which is not limited to time and space. You may experience latent healing effects days after your appointment as you would with an in person acupuncture appointment. Does Distance Acupuncture Work? Yes, Distance Acupuncture Works! For hundreds of years, Distance Healing has been practiced in the East and more recently in the West. More and more research is recognizing that we are all joined through a connection of oneness. This connection allows for Distance Acupuncture to be transmitted over long distances. I have noticed over the years that my clients sometimes respond instantaneously, but some respond with a delay or no sensation at all. But even at that, the improvements come. They are often more relaxed, discomforts relieved, an improvement in aches and pains, mental clarity, and more, just as it would in an in-person acupuncture session. Fee: $75 - $150 per appointment Self pay only. No Insurance accepted for these appointments.</image:caption>
